Dawn on June 29th. Is it any wonder that my imagination is running riot all of the time. I love this time of day. Silence o'clock.
Here's my back garden in June. I call this photo 'the nosy neighbours' because the cows are always looking over the fence. I LOVE their big green field, they LOVE my buttercup meadow.
The green grass of Ireland is green for a reason. Lots and lots of rain. Sometimes it falls softly on our fields and other days it falls on our head in a deluge. The difference between a soft day and a hard day often depends on how warm the rain is, when it hits us.
White Cloud overhead. I often stare at the sky and find such a great escape. I love the cerulean blue, I love the way the darker blues lighten towards the horizon. Perspective plays such a massive part in this horizon line. It's perfect.
Lots of debate predated this picture. The local Stone Circle, the largest in Ireland, has a history dating back 6,000 years. I've followed the sun around the circle and decided from my photos that the best view is that of the sunset at Samhain when the sun lights through the passage at this amazing angle.
I'm an early bird. I get to see this sky when I'm awake before the sun.
