Going with the flow

I don’t always wait to see where the river takes me, sometimes you’ve to get the oar out and help it along. In the last couple of months I’ve had my 2 minutes of fame on the radio (thanks to Limerick Women’s Shed and Ray Darcy Show on Radio 1). My solo exhibition at Friars’ Gate Theatre in Kilmallock has just wrapped up, and one of my watercolour paintings will be featured as ‘Curator’s Choice’ at the Hunt Museum for July. Not bad for someone who had no confidence, no formal art training but buckets of belief in what Art is all about. Warhol is quoted as saying that ‘Art is anything you can get away with’. I couldn’t disagree more.
